WORLD WAR 2 COMBATIVES

Systems devised by Fairbairn and Sykes, with input from their 12 man Instructor cadre in the STCs in Scotland. Other WW2 influences include those from the USA comprising methods taught by Col. Rex Applegate, Biddle, Styers etc,

To avoid confusion for the reader, it should be borne in mind that there is no tangible evidence that the Underwood system of Defendo is connected in any way with Fairbairn and Sykes etc. , despite claims made on certain websites by instructors in the Canadian system. It should thus be viewed as
a system in its own right with no relation to Defendu and Fairbairn whatsoever.

WW2 Combatives are not taught to members of the public, and are reserved for instruction to Military Personnel / Special Police units.

WORLD WAR 2 COMBATIVES & THE GHCA

C. O. D. A. is pleased and proud to have a long standing association with the GHCA organisation of the USA (Gung Ho Chuan Association).
The GHCA consists of ex- USMC personnel, who research and train in the WW2 methods as taught to their forefathers by the likes of Applegate, Biddle, Styers etc.

Coupled with their direct links to the Canadian system Arwrology, there is no doubt that the GHCA have been instrumental in keeping their heritage alive.

C. O. D. A. members have been fortunate to train on a couple of occasions under GHCA Master Instructor, the late Bob Kasper.

Membership of the GHCA is not available to civilians - so please
do not ask us for access to the GHCA or their training courses / syllabus!!!
We can't help you!
