WORLD WAR 2 COMBATIVES
Systems devised by Fairbairn and Sykes, with input from their 12 man Instructor cadre in the STCs in Scotland. Other WW2 influences include those from the USA comprising methods taught by Col. Rex Applegate, Biddle, Styers etc,
To avoid confusion for the reader, it should be borne in mind that there is no tangible evidence that the Underwood system of Defendo is connected in any way with Fairbairn and Sykes etc. , despite claims made on certain websites by instructors in the Canadian system. It should thus be viewed as a system in its own right with no relation to Defendu and Fairbairn whatsoever.
WW2 Combatives are not taught to members of the public, and are reserved for instruction to Military Personnel / Special Police units.
