THE C.O.D.A. LOGO

The present C. O. D. A. logo is not the original one C. O. D. A. began with. The original, designed by Dave Smithers, was a Yin & Yang bissected with an FS Commando Knife, and remained as our logo for several years. Eventually, it was decided to change this, and the forerunner of the current design was made.
The first version of the above badge was reproduced on 2 t-shirts, one presented to Charles Nelson by L.Morrison as an 85th Birthday gift from C.O.D.A., and the other presented to Bill Pilkington on a visit made by PR and PC in 2003.
Today’s version has at its centre the Shanghai badge used by the SMC and SMP, depicting the flags of the nations represented in the old commercial settlement.,
The outer ring showing C. O. D. A. supported by its own 2 systems.
The decision not to show ‘Defendu’ ‘WW2‘ etc. is deliberate, not least of all as Defendu is represented within C. O. D. A.‘ s name.
